Tsunami sushi was opened in May of 2021 by a group of Medical professionals that have a passion for Asian food. They brought in Chef "Chuy" who was trained by master sushi chefs from Japan and has been serving up some of the best Sushi in South Texas for more than 20 years. The restaurant is a mix of traditional Sashimi, Maki, Temaki, and Nigiri, as well as raw and fried sushi rolls that incorporate many local flavors such as Serrano peppers, chamoy, and hot Cheetos. Fresh Fish arrives whole on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is cut and filleted the same day. The result is fish that melts in your mouth. If you love "quality" sushi or prefer a roll with a local flair, this is the place for you.
