Taiyo Pacific Grill and Sushi Bar

My son and I stopped by for sushi tonight. The place was virtually empty at 6pm, so the service was very attentive. We sat at the sushi bar, and held an extended conversation with the sushi chef who was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. Between the two of us (my son is 9) we had 6 different sushi rolls, Gyoza for an appetizer, and tempura red bean ice cream for dessert. The sushi was done perfectly, and the presentation was without error. The gyoza was done to perfection. The tempura red bean ice cream was new to us. We have had red bean and green tea ice cream many times, but never tempura. It was amazing, and a wonderful way to finish our meal. I would recommend Taiyo to everybody who likes sushi. My son said that it comes in second only to our favorite place in Florida. It is our new favorite in the Charlotte area. We have been to several places in Charlotte that serve sushi, but this is going to be our regular sushi place. We will definitely be back.
